were actually broken. Their small leaf spring has come out and thus they are not catching on to my rolling -stock.This gave me a good excuse to go out to a hobby shop and away I went to Pasadena, CA.. I had my mind already sent on Kadee (www.kadee.com), and the shopkeeper strenghtened my beliefs. So I got myself a couple of new ones from Kadee.
Assembling them was a snap. Kadee provided me the box in which the couplers are housed. So I just used that. These couplers are metallic, with an actual spring!
These go well with my rolling stock and now I don't have any issues!
